v2013 – Quality of Life and Major Bug Fixes

This patch focuses on enhancing the overall gameplay experience with a combination of new features, quality-of-life improvements, and a significant number of bug fixes. A key addition is a multi-step trade system designed to combat scams by adding review and confirmation stages to transactions. Guild management is improved with dynamic upkeep costs based on map count and a server configuration editor for administrators to fine-tune global settings. For map creators, the ability to add custom warps expands creative freedom. The patch addresses numerous bugs, including map display errors, browser compatibility issues, NPC pathfinding, and combat exploits. Notably, the auto-reconnect feature receives multiple fixes, and a Discord API migration ensures continued integration with that platform. The introduction of destructible doors and two-handed weapons adds new tactical options to both PvE and PvP encounters.

  • Set bank and shop trade windows to fixed start height to prevent auto resizing and withdrawing/depositing or buying the wrong item.
  • Resolved issue where idle time wasn’t showing for players when clicking on them.
  • Resolved issue where pressing up/down when focused on chat area to scroll through messages would also cycle through message history.
  • Added debug log for script execution to easily identify problematic scripts.
  • Guild hall doors are now fixed at 10 seconds regardless of custom set open delay.
  • Map tiles no longer animate insanely fast when placing down new tiles in map editor.
  • Destructible doors are now possible in the game (can be attacked with melee and ranged at present).
  • Two-handed weapons are now possible which prevents the ability to equip a shield.
  • Fixed skills progress bar exceeding outside normal bounds.
  • Fixed bug with NPCs/players attacking players through walls (very rare).
  • Fixed bug with automatic relogin not working despite having setting enabled.
  • Fixed bug with players being chased being able to suicide to traps without penalty
  • Fixed edge case where game would load images at 100% but not display map.
  • Fixed issue where if browser dark mode was enabled colors would look weird.
  • Fixed issue with mouse not working when zooming browser window out (less than 100%).
  • Fixed issue with NPCs being able to walk through doors despite being on a directional block tile.
  • Fixed issue where stacked map item names would draw off the map, now adjusts y position to see full list.
  • Fixed issue where NPCs/players could attack a player through a directional block tile if moving to a non-directional block tile.
  • Fixed issue with warp restriction notification when player can still warp to the map.
  • Warp restrictions on edge of map or warps will now only show if facing the edge/warp.
  • Fixed issue where tile attributes weren’t wiped when switching to a type without attributes in map editor.
  • Fixed issue with NPC path finding related to previously mentioned tile attribute issue.
  • Daily scripts now run at midnight pacific time instead of 24 hours from last server restart.
  • Migrated Discord integration to support v14 API.
  • Added script functions to see if player or npc is able to attack based on timing alone.
  • Increased minimum player level for inactive account deletion from level 2 to level 5.
  • Fixed yet another issue with auto reconnect. Reload client to fix this issue.
  • Fixed rare issue where boss maps would close doors but not respawn npcs when player joined map.
