Tips for New Players

Quick setup advice to make your first session more comfortable.

  • Turn on Ignore Chat Channels immediately — this is the most important setting. It merges all chat into one feed so you never miss a conversation happening in another channel.
  • Enable Auto Reconnect before your first long session. A dropped connection mid-dungeon is frustrating — this saves you from it.
  • Disable Show Weather on low-end devices — weather effects look great but can noticeably reduce FPS on older Chromebooks or laptops.
  • Enable Timestamp Chat — invaluable when coordinating with guildmates across different time zones.
  • Learn the Q key early — Q activates your class ability and interacts with NPCs and objects. Getting comfortable with it in safe areas before your first dungeon makes a big difference.
  • Show Moral Text helps identify open-world PvP zones — purple areas mean combat with other players is enabled.
  • Rebind everything to your preference — left-handed, used to a different MMO layout, or on a gamepad? Every control can be changed in Settings.

Now you know the controls — time to play.
